In many countries, public showers are lockdown by official authorities to fight the Covid-19 outbreak. For example, in Hong Kong, there is no possibility to take a shower in public showers. 

As you know, WHO stated that anyone can catch Covid-19 by touching a contaminated surface. That’s why public showers are threatening healthy peoples if they take a shower after an infected person. How will the new rules be agreed on for gyms? Peoples are waiting for the reopening of gyms and wondering the new rules in the gyms.

Are Gym Showers Safe To Use?

Doctors are stated that the steam rooms and showers are not hot enough to kill the coronavirus. So if you are thinking about the possibility of killing the coronavirus by hot water, it is not possible. What are the gym owners going to do on this issue? Most probably, members will be able to use dressing rooms and showers one by one and after the use, will be cleaned with sanitizer. 

What we recommend is taking a shower at home. Considering that every possibility, the safest way will be not using public showers.

If you have to use public showers, use your own towel shampoo and soap. Don’t walk on the shower area without a sandal. As you know, WHO declared that it is possible to catch Covid-19 by touching the contaminated surfaces. Keep in mind this declaration and try to not touch anywhere.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention doesn’t suggest wearing gloves. After the reopening of the gyms, we will see the new rules. During the Covid-19 outbreak, it’s more essential to clean and sanitize your hands regularly.
